I still cannot believe 4chan got hacked, Jesus Christ I thought it was impossible for them to get defeated in any way.

that is the funny part. i lost the screenshot(remember kids, save pics and don't relay on links sent over irc) but apparently the method used for the hack a was known exploit sense 2014, that works because the back end hasn't been updated sense moots left(2016)
basically some 4chan boards let you upload pdf files, but doesn't check if the uploaded file is a pdf, so someone just uploaded malicious code and and it worked.. it was THAT easy. we were giving them WAY WAY too much credit.
